ENGINE / MECHANICAL FITTER (SHIPBUILDING / SHIPREPAIR)

For different clients of us we are searching for skilled engine / mechanical fitters who have experience in shipbuilding and shiprepair.

Common activities of an Engine Fitter: 

- Change of pistons and sleeves

- Repair of air valves and injection valves

- Change / repair of the shaft line

- Various hydraulic assembly jobs

- Repair of hydraulic anchor winches

- Overhauling main engine and diesel generator

- Overhauling hydraulic hoists

- Overhauling ballast and cargo pumps

- Overhauling bow thrusters / propellers

The engine / mechanical fitters must be capable of completing these activities independently, under supervision of the foreman / supervisor. 

Location: different shipyards in Holland.

Requirements:

- Minimal 5 years’ experience

- Safety certificate (VCA / SCC)

- Flexible for working in shifts and willing to work many hours
